For this Comic Book Cover Design Challenge, we took the word “Breach”, chose a genre, and created a comic book cover out of it. Our minds turned to horror, with the thoughts of breaking through a perceived unstoppable barricade.

The featured image shows a young kid cowering in front of a series of hands erupting from a decrepit closet. Talk about atmospheric. We found an adaptive open-source typewriter typeface called TT2020 (it’s fantastic) and found one of its many weights worked perfectly to evoke the level of decayed fear a zombie-style series would need. You can find the cover below.

Breach – Comic Book Design Challenge

There is a wardrobe in the house down the street. It’s always been there and its contents are a mystery. An unbreakable lock sits heavy on the double doors. Many have tried but none have cracked it. Until today. Young William Stein shattered the unbreakable lock and pierced the veil of the world. Now we are Breached, and there is no returning.
