This Comic Book Cover Design Challenge revolves around the title “Priestess”. We were fresh off Breach and landed on horror once again. We created a five-part cover design to chronicle the imagined five-part story.

We kept the cover simple and ominous, with the titular Priestess hidden within the type. The Priestess logo is the amazing ITC Franklin Gothic, while the subtitle is the regular cut of TT2020. With each volume, a new day would be highlighted, with previous days scratched off. A series of glyphs can be seen behind the type that gets more visible with each passing volume, culminating on Friday.

Priestess, the 5-part mini-series, follows the adventuring archeologist Monica LaVoy as she slowly succumbs to an ancient curse, unleashed during an expedition. A devestating incantation is cast across time by an entity called the Priestess threatening to rip reality asunder. Monica is the unlucky host to the ancient, unholy herald and must fight the invading consciousness, stop the spell, and stave off complete destruction.
